We report the case of a 24-year-old man from Brazil presenting with jaundice and epigastric pain. Abdominal CT and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) revealed a mass in the pancreatic-duodenal groove, intrahepatic duct dilation, and lymphadenopathy, initially suggestive of lymphoproliferative syndrome. However, cytopathological analysis of EUS-guided fine needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) of the lymph nodes confirmed paracoccidioidomycosis.

- - Out of 25,557 patients studied, 30.8% were prescribed benzodiazepines, which were linked to an increased chance of returning to the emergency department but not to higher rates of hospitalization or mortality within 30 days.
- - The findings suggest that while benzodiazepine use may lead to more frequent ED visits, it does not significantly affect hospitalization rates or mortality in the short term.
Genetically modified (GM) maize DP910521 was developed to confer resistance against certain lepidopteran insect pests as well as tolerance to glufosinate herbicide; these properties were achieved by introducing the expression cassettes. The molecular characterisation data and bioinformatic analyses did not identify issues requiring food/feed safety assessment. None of the identified differences in the agronomic/phenotypic and compositional characteristics tested between maize DP910521 and its conventional counterpart needs further assessment except for the levels of iron in grain, which do not raise safety and nutritional concerns.
