Online database of Power Hardware In-the-Loop tests.

The online database presented in this article provides information about Power Hardware In-the-Loop (PHIL) tests to allow the reproducibility of the experiments. The data were collected through published papers and manufacturer data sheets. The database is hosted on an open subversion platform, which allows a continuous improvement of the data.

Design of a Physical Activity Program to Prevent Functional Decline in Onco-Geriatric Patients (CAPADOGE): A Randomized Multicenter Trial.

3D analysis from micro-MRI during in situ compression on cancellous bone.

A mini-compression jig was built to perform in situ tests on bovine trabecular bone monitored by micro-MRI. The MRI antenna provided an isotropic resolution of 78 microm that allows for a volume correlation method to be used. Three-dimensional displacement fields are then evaluated within the bone sample during the compression test.

Slow internal release of bioactive compounds under the effect of skin enzymes.

A new strategy for the skin delivery of bioactive compounds has been developed, using enzymes involved in the maintenance of the epidermal barrier function and the enzymatic transformation of corresponding precursors. This new strategy has been tested with regard to two enzymatic activities of the skin barrier: extracellular glucosidase and esterase/lipase. An analysis of the requirements for the glycosidic bond hydrolysis of any glycoconjugate by beta-glucocerebrosidase indicates that the release of the moiety linked to the glucose unit is obtained as long as the glycosidic bond being broken is not hindered, and as long as the leaving group property of the released moiety is good enough.

Plasma kinetics and efficacy of oral megazol treatment in Trypanosoma brucei brucei-infected sheep.

Experimentally infected sheep have been previously developed as an animal model of trypanosomosis. We used this model to test the efficacy of megazol on eleven Trypanosoma brucei brucei-infected sheep. When parasites were found in blood on day 11 post-infection, megazol was orally administered at a single dose of 40 or 80mg/kg.
