The global rise in temperatures due to climate change has made it difficult even for specialised desert-adapted plant species to survive on sandy desert soils. Two of Namibia's iconic desert-adapted plant species, and the quiver tree , have recently been shown to be under threat because of climate change. In the current study, three ecologically important Namibian milk bushes were evaluated for their climate change response.

Understanding the knowledge, attitudes, motivations, and expectations of community members regarding antimicrobial use is essential for effective stewardship interventions. This scoping review aimed to identify key themes relating to the critical areas regarding antimicrobial use among community members in primary healthcare (PHC), with a particular focus on LMICs.

A challenge is that not all mass spectrometry facilities can perform SCP, and not all laboratories have access to cell sorting equipment required for SCP, which together motivate an interest in sending bulk cell samples through the mail for sorting and SCP analysis. Shipping requires cell storage, which has an unknown effect on SCP results.

Here, we characterize an epigenetic memory at the cytochrome P450 1 A (CYP1A) gene in wild Fundulus heteroclitus that have adapted to chronic, extreme PAH pollution. In wild-type fish, CYP1A is highly induced by PAH.

Methods: We used Australian electronic medical record (EMR)-based clinical data to develop the "AKI-FB risk score", validated it in a British cohort and used it to predict a positive FB >2 L at 72 h after AKI diagnosis.
