The two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) at the LaAlO[Formula: see text]/SrTiO[Formula: see text] (LAO/STO) interface exhibits gate-tunable superconductivity with a dome-like shape of critical temperature as a function of electron concentration. This behavior has not been unambiguously explained yet. Here, we develop a microscopic model based on the Schrödinger-Poisson approach to determine the electronic structure of the LAO/STO 2DEG, which we then apply to study the principal characteristics of the superconducting phase within the real-space pairing mean-field approach.

Background: Although diversity has improved across certain orthopaedic subspecialties, enhancing diversity within spine surgery has remained a challenge. We aimed to investigate the current state of sex, racial, and ethnic diversity among academic orthopaedic spine surgeons in the United States.
Methods: In January 2024, a cross-sectional analysis of orthopaedic spine surgery faculty in the United States was conducted using the Doximity database to identify eligible surgeons.

All members of the family have a bipartite genome consisting of a primary chromosome (Chr1) homologous to the single chromosome of other bacteria such as and a secondary chromosome (Chr2) acquired by a common ancestor as a plasmid. In this review, we present our current understanding of genome maintenance in , which is the best-studied model for bacteria with multi-partite genomes.
