Liquid chromatography coupled to high-resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS) is commonly used for identification of compounds in complex samples due to the high chromatographic and mass spectral resolution provided. In subsequent data processing workflows, it is imperative to preserve this resolution to fully exploit the data. "Region of interest" (ROI) algorithms were introduced as a better alternative to equidistant binning for compressing HRMS data because they better preserve the mass spectral resolution.

Here, we demonstrate that phytoplankton communities in this region tend to be dominated by larger cells (estimated from percentage of chlorophyll captured on a 10 μm filter) than beyond the shelf edge. F/F (PSII electron transport capacity) corrected for photoinhibition in the surface layer correlated in this study with the percentage of chlorophyll captured on a 10 µm filter (assumed to be large cells), suggesting that the phytoplankton community was responding to increased nutrients in the euphotic zone by increasing photosynthetic efficiency and altering community composition.

Purpose: The aim was to assess the feasibility of a randomized controlled exercise intervention, including physical assessments, in children and adolescents during the first 6 months of cancer treatment.
Materials And Methods: A sample of children and adolescents (n = 84, 6‒17.9 years) from an ongoing trial (INTERACT: NCT04706676) was randomly assigned to an integrative neuromuscular training (INT) intervention or active control intervention during treatment.
Background: Myocardial work is a novel measure of potential value for diagnosing coronary artery disease (CAD). It may therefore be useful in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), in whom the diagnostic work-up can be challenging.
Methods: This was a cross-sectional study of patients with CKD (G1-5, nondialysis-dependent).

Environmental consequences of petroleum mulch application are crucial in regions prone to wind erosion and desertification. This study aimed to assess the long-term effects of petroleum mulching on soil polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) concentrations and the associated human and ecological risk indices. These indices include incremental lifetime cancer risk (ILCR), hazard index (HI), toxic equivalent concentration (TEQ), toxic unit (TU), and risk quotient (RQ) in soil samples from Khuzestan province, Iran.
