We introduce a novel nonalkyl tin oxo cluster, CNU-TOC-01(4C-C), synthesized through a reflux-based solution reaction using SnCl, HO, and pyrazole, which permits scalable production and molecular customization. Using field desorption-time-of-flight mass spectrometry (FD-TOF MS) and small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), CNU-TOC-01(4C-C) is characterized as a cyclic cluster with the molecular formula SnCl(CNH)(CNH)HO. The cluster size was measured to be 11.

Coronary heart disease as a risk factor for delirium in older COVID-19 patients.

Aim: Delirium during acute infection is associated with poor outcomes, although research is limited due to the heterogenous nature of affected populations. Identifying risk factors for delirium can help differentiate high-risk patients.

Methods: This retrospective study was carried out at a single COVID-19 designated hospital in Korea between February 2020 and May 2022.

Nuclear Recoil Calibration at Sub-keV Energies in LUX and Its Impact on Dark Matter Search Sensitivity.

Dual-phase xenon time projection chamber (TPC) detectors offer heightened sensitivities for dark matter detection across a spectrum of particle masses. To broaden their capability to low-mass dark matter interactions, we investigated the light and charge responses of liquid xenon (LXe) to sub-keV nuclear recoils. Using neutron events from a pulsed Adelphi Deuterium-Deuterium neutron generator, an in situ calibration was conducted on the LUX detector.

Long-range magnetic interaction of native defects in transition metal dichalcogenides.

Recent experiments have revealed weak ferromagnetism in pristine transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), although the underlying mechanism remains unclear. In this work, we investigate the possibility of native defects inducing ferromagnetism in TMDs, specifically WS and MoS. Among the various native defects, we have identified that cation antisites exhibit localized magnetic moments of 2 .
