HSP90 chaperones a large number of proteins, and it plays essential roles in multiple signaling pathways to maintain protein homeostasis in the cytosol. In addition, HSP90 has been implicated in mediating recognition of lipopolysaccharide (LPS). However, no pharmacologic agents have been developed to interrogate this pathway.

We examined the expression of cyclin D1 in conjunction with β-catenin and the phosphorylated inactive form of glycogen synthase kinase 3β (GSK-3β) in benign, nonneoplastic thyroid tissue as well as papillary thyroid carcinoma primary tumors and nodal metastases. CAMPATH-IH in multiple sclerosis.

In a pilot study, seven patients with multiple sclerosis were treated with CAMPATH-IH which targets the CD52 antigen present on lymphocytes and monocytes. There was a substantial reduction in disease activity as measured by gadoliunium-enhancing lesions on MRI. Encouraged by this result a further seven patients have been treated with CAMPATH-IH; four also received anti-CD4 antibody.

Cytomorphologic features of salivary duct carcinoma on fine needle aspiration biopsy. A case report.

Salivary duct carcinoma is an uncommon salivary gland malignancy resembling intraductal carcinoma of the breast. We report a case of salivary duct carcinoma in which fine needle aspiration biopsy was performed preoperatively. The cytologic features included tumor cells with abundant, finely granular cytoplasm and focal mucin positivity as well as sheets and tissue fragments demonstrating a distinctive cribriform pattern.
