Background: Semaglutide 2·4 mg once weekly has been investigated for weight management in global populations. Differences exist between Asian and non-Asian populations in terms of body composition and definitions of obesity. In the Semaglutide Treatment Effect in People with obesity (STEP) 6 trial, we assessed the effect of semaglutide versus placebo for weight management in adults from east Asia with obesity, with or without type 2 diabetes.

Objective: Insulin icodec (icodec) is a novel once-weekly basal insulin analog. This trial investigated two approaches for switching to icodec versus once-daily insulin glargine 100 units/mL (IGlar U100) in people with type 2 diabetes receiving daily basal insulin and one or more oral glucose-lowering medications.
Research Design And Methods: This multicenter, open-label, treat-to-target phase 2 trial randomized (1:1:1) eligible basal insulin-treated (total daily dose 10-50 units) people with type 2 diabetes (HbA 7.
Objectives: The aim was to investigate risk factors for community-onset bloodstream infections with extended-spectrum β-lactamase-producing Enterobacteriaceae (EPE BSI).
Methods: It is mandatory to report EPE BSI to a national register at the Public Health Agency of Sweden. Using this register, we performed a population-based case-control study from 2007 to 2012 of 945 cases and 9390 controls.
Background: Little is known of the long-term risks of bloodstream infection (BSI) with extended spectrum β-lactamase-producing Enterobacteriaceae (EPE) in previously-colonized individuals. We investigated EPE-BSI risks and associated risk factors during 6 years following EPE colonization.
Methods: We performed a population-based cohort study in Sweden using national health registers.
