Purpose: To assess the spectrum of computed tomography (CT) findings in patients with genitourinary cancers visiting the emergency room (ER) and evaluate the relationship between CT findings and overall survival (OS).
Methods: Retrospective analysis of consecutive patients with genitourinary cancers undergoing CT during an ER visit at a tertiary cancer center during a 20-month period. CTs were considered positive if there were findings relevant to the presenting complaint(s).

A study in a Florida state hospital examined the impact of staff training in aggression control on the incidence of patient assaults on staff and of assault-related injuries. The subjects were 96 unit staff and shift supervisors. Of the 31 staff members who had received aggression control training, only one was assaulted; of the 65 untrained staff, 24 were assaulted, a statistically significant difference.
