Introduction/objective: Multidimensional geriatric assessment is an important diagnostic method in geriatrics. The objective of this article was to establish the relationship between nutritional, functional, cognitive status and oral health of institutionalized older adults.

Methodology: A cross-sectional observational study was carried out, where 93 institutionalized older adults participated, including oral assessment and Barthel, Minimental, Mininutritional and Yesavage scales.

This longitudinal study explored the contribution of transcription skills, oral language abilities, and executive functions in kindergarten to written production in grade 1 among Spanish-speaking children (N = 191) through structural equation modeling (SEM). Three dimentions of written production were assessed, including productivity, quality, and syntactic complexity. Accordingly, three SEM models were tested to explore these relationships, and the estimated models for each endogenous variable demonstrated good fit.

Introduction: While the general immune response to Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome-Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) is well-understood, the long-term effects of Human Immunodeficiency Virus-1/Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome-Coronavirus-2 (HIV-1/SARS-CoV-2) co-infection on the immune system remain unclear. This study investigates the immune response in people with HIV-1 (PWH) co-infected with SARS-CoV-2 to understand its long-term health consequences.

Methods: A retrospective longitudinal study of PWH with suppressed viral load and SARS-CoV-2 infection was conducted.

Introduction: The widespread clinical and environmental dissemination of successful clones of carbapenem-resistant (CRKP) represents a serious global public health threat. In this context, lytic bacteriophages have emerged as a promising alternative for controlling these pathogens. This study describes the biological, structural, and genomic characteristics of lytic bacteriophages against the high-risk CRKP clones CG258 and ST307 and describes their performance in combination.
