Background: Cerebral microbleeds (CMB) signal cerebral small vessel disease and are associated with ischemic stroke. While illicit drug use (IDU) is linked to cerebral vasculopathy, the association between CMB and IDU is poorly characterized.
Aims: Our primary aim was to explore the relationship between IDU and CMB and delineate differences in vascular risk factors between those with and without CMB.
Background: It is unclear how poststroke cognitive trajectories differ by stroke type and ischemic stroke subtype. We studied associations between stroke types (ischemic and hemorrhagic), ischemic stroke subtypes (cardioembolic, large artery atherosclerotic, lacunar/small vessel, and cryptogenic/other determined causes), and poststroke cognitive decline.
Methods: We pooled participants from 4 US cohort studies (1971-2019).
MRI visible perivascular spaces (PVS) are associated with cognitive impairment and dementia, which are also associated with disrupted network connectivity. PVS may relate to dementia risk through disruption in brain connectivity. We studied the relation between PVS grade and global and regional structural connectivity in Framingham Heart Study participants free of stroke and dementia.

In general, TeNPs are prepared using chemical methods based on a redox reaction in which strong reducing agents are employed which are often toxic and harmful to the environment. Biological biosynthesis provides a green strategy for substituting the commonly used reducing chemical agents with microorganisms or enzymes.
