Background/objectives: Puerto Ricans (PRs) face significant challenges in accessing essential parenting resources and support due to language barriers and lack of culturally appropriate healthcare services, perpetuating health disparities. Cultural adaptation of psychosocial measurement tools is crucial for promoting health equity and improving health outcomes. This study describes the cultural adaptation of two parenting discipline assessment measures for use with Spanish-speaking PR mothers of 2-4-year-old children.

National Surgical Quality Improvement Program audit of contemporary perioperative care for radical cystectomy.

Objective: To examine the impact of increased compliance to contemporary perioperative care measures, as outlined by enhanced recover after surgery (ERAS) guidelines, among patients undergoing radical cystectomy (RC).

Patients And Methods: From the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program database we captured patients undergoing RC between 2019 and 2021. We identified five perioperative care measures: regional anaesthesia block, thromboembolism prophylaxis, ≤24 h perioperative antibiotic administration, absence of bowel preparation, and early oral diet.

A Report of a Rare Case of BCOR (B-cell Line 6 Corepressor)-Altered Sarcoma of the Lung in a Child.

Ewing sarcoma is one of the small round blue cell tumors of childhood that typically affects bone. Recently, a subgroup of undifferentiated round-cell sarcomas has been genetically identified as BCOR (B-cell Line 6 Corepressor)-altered sarcomas (BAS). We present a case of a six-year-old male child who presented with a chief complaint of shortness of breath and tachypnea and was found to have a large mediastinal mass concerning sarcoma.

Community-Engaged Research With Latino Dementia Caregivers: Overcoming Challenges in Community Advisory Board Development.

Background And Objectives: Latinos caring for a person with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD) have the highest prevalence of caregiving. Yet, they are less likely to benefit from evidence-based interventions given their continued underrepresentation in ADRD-related research. Community advisory boards (CABs) have the potential to address barriers to research for underrepresented communities; however, there are complexities to establishing and sustaining CABs.

Residential urban food environment profiles and diet outcomes among adults in Brooklyn, New York: a cross-sectional study.

Objective: To assess the clustering properties of residential urban food environment indicators across neighbourhoods and to determine if clustering profiles are associated with diet outcomes among adults in Brooklyn, New York.
