Photothermal therapy (PTT) utilizing cyanine dyes (Cy) and nitric oxide (NO) gas therapy via BNN6 have demonstrated significant potential in cancer treatment. However, the rapid clearance of these small molecules from the body limits their accumulation at tumor sites, thereby reducing therapeutic efficacy. To address this, we employed the acid-sensitive nanomaterial ZIF-8 as a carrier to encapsulate Cy and BNN6, creating functionalized BNN6-Cy@ZIF-8 Nanoparticles (B-C@Z NPs) for the targeted delivery and release of Cy and BNN6 at tumor sites.

Herein, rosmarinic acid (RosA), a natural product with antibacterial/immunoregulatory activities, was utilized to develop a FCR IH through forming phenylboronic acid ester bonds with 4-formylphenyl phenylboronic acid (4-FPBA) grafted chitosan (CS) (FC). After being applied to the IBD site, the FCR IH was then injected with tobramycin (Tob) solution, another alkaline antibacterial drug, to induce in situ crystallization of the FC, endowing the resultant FCRT hydrogel with adaptively enhanced mechanical strength and structural stability.

Similar to ubiquitination, UFMylation enables the conjugation of UFM1 to specific target proteins, thus altering their stability, activity, or localization. UFM1 chains have the potential to undergo cleavage from their associated proteins via UFM1-specific proteases, thus highlighting a reversible feature of UFMylation.

Since the neuroprotective effects of n-3 PUFA have been widely validated, the role of n-6 PUFA remains debated, with their underlying mechanisms still not fully understood.
Methods: In this study, 169,295 participants from the UK Biobank were included to analyze the associations between dietary n-6 PUFA intake and neurodegenerative diseases using Cox regression models with full adjustments for potential confounders.
