: The aim is to propose a model for predicting occult paraaortic lymph node (PALN) involvement in locally advanced cervical cancer (LACC) patients by including parameters such as reconstruction detection technology (use of time-of-flight) and parameters related to the primary tumor. This model will then be compared with the scores used in routine clinical practice; : This retrospective observational cohort study included patients diagnosed with LACC who underwent F-FDG PET/CT prior to PALN surgical staging between February 2012 and May 2020. The following parameters were collected on PET/CT: tumor SUVmax, tumor MTV, number of common and distal pelvic node involvements.

Article Synopsis
  • Optimizations in immunotherapy for Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) show promise, particularly in targeting galectin-9 (Gal-9) after radiotherapy.
  • In TNBC patients receiving neoadjuvant radiotherapy, higher Gal-9 levels were observed in non-responders compared to baseline, indicating a potential link between Gal-9 expression and treatment response.
  • A study in mice showed that targeting Gal-9 with an antibody led to reduced tumor growth only in those injected with irradiated cancer cells, suggesting Gal-9's potential as a biomarker and therapeutic target in TNBC.

Importance: With the widespread use of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), concerns about their pregnancy outcomes through maternal exposure have emerged, and clinical comparative data are lacking.

Objective: To assess the risk of pregnancy-, fetal-, and/or newborn-related adverse outcomes associated with exposure to ICIs compared with exposure to other anticancer agents.

Design, Setting, And Participants: In this cohort study, all reports mentioning a pregnancy-related condition and an antineoplastic agent (Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical classification group L01) used for a cancer indication registered in the World Health Organization international pharmacovigilance database VigiBase up to June 26, 2022, were extracted.
