Recently Gram-negative bacteria co-producing multiple carbapenemases have emerged in different parts of the world. We report the first isolation of an Escherichia coli strain co-producing the carbapenemases NDM-1 and OXA-232.

This structure was responsible for knee pathology (loss of extension) in 3 cases. The patients (5 to 8 years of age) complained of knee pain without skeletal abnormality or trauma.

GFP-labeled T cells could be ablated in larvae by either irradiation or dexamethasone added to the water, illustrating that T cells have evolutionarily conserved responses to chemical and radiation ablation. In transplant experiments, thymocytes from lck-GFP fish repopulated the thymus of irradiated wild-type fish only transiently, suggesting that the thymus contains only short-term thymic repopulating cells.

Primary MDS should be distinguished from secondary MDS associated with antineoplastic or immunosuppressive therapy (t-MDS), exposure to toxic compounds, or genetic disorders. The establishment of a neoplastic clone is reflected by dysplastic features and impaired function which may affect all three hematopoietic cell lineages.
