Background: Attenuation is correlated with the concentration of contrast medium (CM) in the arteries. The cardiac output (CO) affects the concentration of CM in the circulatory system; therefore, CO affects the time-density curve (TDC). Thus, estimating CO using TDC from test-bolus images acquired in computed tomography (CT) is possible.

Gastric diverticulum and halitosis-A case for surgery?

Introduction: Gastric diverticulum is a rare and frequently asymptomatic condition. Symptoms include vague pain, fullness, dyspepsia, vomiting, hemorrhage and perforation. Occasionally, the patient can present with belching and oral fetor.

Bile duct cysts in adults.

Background: Bile duct cysts are rare and of uncertain origin. Most have been reported in young females of Asian descent, but an increasing number have occurred in Western adults.

Methods: A Medline literature search was performed to locate articles on the pathophysiological concepts, clinical behaviour and management controversies pertaining to bile duct cysts in adults.

Avoidable stillbirths and neonatal deaths in rural Tanzania.

The aim of the study was to determine the role of markers of eosinophil activation, along with other parameters, in the prediction of recurrent wheezing and allergic sensitization in children with early and severe wheezing.
