Objective: Organization-sponsored interventions have the potential to promote, and destigmatize seeking help for, wellbeing. Our study objective was to explore the acceptability and feasibility of a coaching intervention to improve wellbeing among faculty.
Methods: We conducted a pilot, pre/post design, study in a convenience sample of pediatric faculty at an academic medical center.
Dermatology, a medical specialty focused on skin, hair, and nail conditions, often overlaps with various medical specialties. Although most physicians practicing dermatology are board-certified in dermatology, there are physicians practicing dermatology who are board-certified in a variety of different medical specialties. However, many such treatments are gonadotoxic, causing premature ovarian insufficiency, loss of fertility, and ovarian endocrine function. Implantation of donor ovarian tissue encapsulated in immune-isolating capsules is a promising method to restore physiological endocrine function without immunosuppression or risk of reintroducing cancer cells harbored by the tissue.
