Longitudinal Follow-Up of the Psychological Well-Being of Patients with Colorectal Cancer: Final Analysis of PICO-SM.

PICO-SM was a prospective longitudinal study investigating the psychological impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on patients with colorectal cancer treated in a large UK tertiary cancer centre. Here, we present the impact of the third wave of the pandemic (December 2021 to February 2022), when the Omicron variant became prevalent in the UK, and the complete longitudinal comparison across the entire duration of this study. Patients were invited to complete a questionnaire, including screening psychometric tools.

Germline BRCA1/2 status and chemotherapy response score in high-grade serous ovarian cancer.

Background: High-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) can be treated with platinum-based neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) and delayed primary surgery (DPS). Histopathological response to NACT can be assessed using Böhm's chemotherapy response score (CRS). We investigated whether germline BRCA1/2 (gBRCA1/2) genotype associated with omental CRS phenotype.

Objective: To evaluate the effects of combining neodymium-doped yttrium aluminium garnet laser and highintensity focussed ultrasound techniques to remove a professionally-done tattoo.

Methods: The interventional study was conducted from November 2021 to April 2022 at the at the Postgraduate Medical Physics Laboratory of Mustansiriyah University, Baghdad, Iraq, and comprised healthy adults aged 18-60 years who wished to have their tattoo areas from their hands, arms and forearms removed. Each tattoo was divided into 3 areas.

Effect of 532nm and 589nm Diode-Pumped Solid-State (DPSS) Lasers with Different Doses on Concentration of Total Protein and Albumin in Vitro.

Objective: To test the effects of Low-level laser irradiation at 532nm and 589nm with different doses and exposure times on total protein and albumin in blood plasma.
