Demand for in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment is growing; however, success rates remain low partly due to difficulty in selecting the best embryo to be transferred. Current manual assessments are subjective and may not take advantage of the most informative moments in embryo development. Here, we apply convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to identify key windows in pre-implantation human development that can be linked to embryo viability and are therefore suitable for the early grading of IVF embryos.

These modifications were achieved by (i) growing TiO nanotube layers on these substrates by anodization, (ii) surface coating by ultrathin TiO atomic layer deposition (ALD), or (iii) by the combination of both. In particular, an ultrathin TiO coating, achieved by 1 cycle of TiO ALD, was intended to shade the impurities of F- and V-based species in tested materials while preserving the original structure and morphology.

In this study, a series of new benzothiazolylurea-based inhibitors were developed based on the structure-activity relationship (SAR) study of previously published compounds and predictions of their physico-chemical properties. This led to the identification of several submicromolar inhibitors (IC ∼0.
