An important gap in work-family literature is the understanding of how socio-demographic variables, such as sex, age, hours worked, age of youngest child, and household income may relate to work-family conflict. Using data from 667 individuals and longitudinal data from 1,007 caregivers, separate exploratory cluster analysis by gender provided a three cluster solution for caregiving men, non-caregiving men, and caregiving women and a four cluster solution for non-caregiving women. Differences in work interfering with family were found in the caregiving men, caregiving women, and non-caregiving women clusters.

Background: Radial access is the preferential access route in patients undergoing diagnostic coronary angiography. We hypothesised that we could reduce hospital stay and improve patient comfort by accelerated deflation of the radial compression device (Terumo radial band).

Aims: The aim of this study was to compare accelerated pressure reduction with a standard Terumo radial band protocol with regard to local bleeding complications and reported pain scores after cardiac catheterisation.

Objectives: This study evaluated the waiting list for elective electrical cardioversion (ECV) for persistent atrial fibrillation (AF), focusing on when and why procedures were postponed. We compared the effects of management of the waiting list conducted by physicians versus management by nurse practitioners (NPs) and we evaluated the safety of our anticoagulating policy by means of bleeding or thromboembolic complications during and after ECV.

Background: Not all patients selected for ECV receive their treatment at the first planned instance due to a variety of reasons.

Background: Due to the growing number of cardiac device implantations it is important to develop methods to reduce device-implantation related complications.

Aims: To determine whether a wound inspection clinic can play a role in the detection of device-implantation related complications.

Methods: Single-center observational study evaluating patients who received a pacemaker or implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD).
