Comparative effectiveness of acupoint stimulation for preventing postoperative nausea and vomiting after general anesthesia: A network meta-analysis of randomized trials.

Objective: To systematically evaluate the effectiveness of different acupoint stimulation techniques in preventing postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) after general anesthesia.

Methods: We searched PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Embase for relevant papers, about the effect of acupoint stimulation for preventing PONV from their inception to July 31, 2023. Two reviewers performed study screening, data extraction, and risk of bias assessment.

Atherosclerosis is a primary cause of cardiovascular disease, straining healthcare systems. Dendrobium officinale, a widely used food-medicine homology, has demonstrated anti-atherosclerotic (anti-AS) properties, with other species listed in pharmacopoeias exhibiting similar effects. However, their efficacy varies, and the impact of interspecies variations on compounds and mechanisms in Dendrobium's anti-AS effects remains unclear.

The electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) to methane (CH4) presents a promising solution for mitigating CO2 emissions while producing valuable chemical feedstocks. Although single-atom catalysts have shown potential in selectively converting CO2 to CH4, their limited active sites often hinder the realization of high current densities, posing a selectivity-activity dilemma. In this study, we developed a single-atom cobalt (Co) doped copper catalyst (Co1Cu) that achieved a CH4 Faradaic efficiency exceeding 60% with a partial current density of -482.

Research Status and Direction of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Complicated with Coronary Heart Disease: A Bibliometric Analysis from 2005 to 2024.

Objective: There is increasing evidence that chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is associated with coronary heart disease (CHD). In this study, we provide valuable insights in the field by examining the evolution of the relationship between COPD and CHD over the past 20 years.

Methods: A comprehensive computer search was conducted in the Web of Science (WOS) core dataset, covering literature on COPD combined with CHD from January 1, 2005, to August 20, 2024.
