Background: Exclusive breastfeeding to six months of age is a major global public health priority. Several characteristics are known to be associated with early cessation of breastfeeding, however, limited evidence exists regarding whether women's reported reasons for cessation are associated with maternal, pregnancy and infant characteristics. The aims of this study were to: i) describe women's reported intention to breastfeed and their subsequent breastfeeding practices; ii) describe women's reported reasons for breastfeeding cessation prior to the infant being five months of age; and iii) examine associations between these factors and maternal, pregnancy and infant characteristics.

Aims: To compare and evaluate the number of paediatric patients classified as 'suitable for primary care' using the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) method, the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) method, and parental judgement.

Methods: This was a prospective observational study enrolling parents/carers presenting with their children to two Victorian EDs in Victoria, Australia over a 1-week period. Trained research assistants were posted within both EDs and surveyed all eligible parents/carers whether they agreed with the statement 'I think a GP would be able to look after my child's current illness/injury'.

Background: Allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) secondary to Dermabond Prineo™ is rare, but documented. To our knowledge, there are no described reports of this ACD reaction within the pediatric population following arthroscopic surgery.

Case Summary: We report two cases of pediatric ACD upon second exposure to Dermabond Prineo™ after knee arthroscopy.

Background: Registry-based studies have become more common due to the availability of a large study cohort. However, the validity of findings is dependent on the completeness of the registry. This study aimed to validate the capture rate of the New Zealand Joint Registry (NZJR) by matching procedures that have been recorded separately via clinical coding by the New Zealand Government's National Surgical Site Infection Improvement Programme (SSIIP).
