Background: The Optilume benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) catheter system is a novel minimally invasive paclitaxel-coated dilation system that has demonstrated substantial and durable results in urinary flow and symptoms.

Aim: We now assess the impact of Optilume BPH procedure on sexual function.

Methods: Prior published results have described the methods of data collection during the PINNACLE study, which demonstrated durable improvement in urinary symptoms.

Robotic-assisted urethrolysis for urethral obstruction after retropubic bladder neck suspension-a case series report.

Introduction: Urethral/bladder outlet obstruction (BOO) is a recognized complication after most surgical procedures for stress urinary incontinence. The mechanisms involved are thought to be related to an overcorrection of the urethra (by kinking and/or compressing the urethra) or excessive scar formation between the pubis and urethra. The recommended treatment is usually surgical that aims to free up the obstructed urethra (urethrolysis).

Juvenile posttraumatic high-flow priapism: current management dilemmas.

High-flow priapism results from disruption of the intercavernosal artery resulting in an arteriocavernosal fistula and is rarely encountered in the pediatric and adolescent population. Clinically it manifests as a painless, prolonged erection after perineal trauma. Treatment has ranged from expectant management to open surgical exploration with vessel ligation.

Primary care providers' attitudes toward prostate cancer risk factors at a Veterans Affairs health care facility.

Objective: We asked what factors influence primary care providers' decision to screen patients for prostate cancer.

Methods: A survey completed by 175 Veterans Affairs primary care providers queried whether patient anxiety, family history, race, and other assorted risk factors increased their likelihood of screening for prostate cancer. Subsequent questions assessed the degree to which various factors, such as age, comorbidities, and lack of interest, decreased their likelihood of screening.
