[Therapeutic possibilities of arthroscopy in chronic painful wrists. Apropos of 27 cases with 55 arthroscopies].

55 arthroscopies of radio- and midcarpal joints of the wrist were performed for chronic wrist pain with a difficult diagnosis and/or treatment. None of the patients suffered a deterioration and no complications were observed. The results were analysed according to Jackson's and Abe's criteria.

A simplified technique for treating mallet fingers: tenodermodesis.

Tenodermodesis is a useful surgical procedure in cases of mallet fingers where conservative treatment has failed. The results have been satisfactory in 22 of 26 patients. These results all have been achieved within 60 days and with no more than 35 days of permanent splinting of the distal part of the digit.
