-Derived Near-Infrared Carbon Dots for Bioimaging and Antimicrobial Applications.

The use of biomass feedstocks for producing high-value-added chemicals is gaining significant attention in the academic community. In this study, near-infrared carbon dots (NIR-CDs) with antimicrobial and bioimaging functions were prepared from branches and leaves using a novel green synthesis approach. The spectral properties of the synthesized NIR-CDs were characterized by ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy.

Deformation Behavior of Inconel 625 Alloy with TPMS Structure.

Triply periodic minimal surfaces (TPMSs) are known for their smooth, fully interconnected, and naturally porous characteristics, offering a superior alternative to traditional porous structures. These structures often suffer from stress concentration and a lack of adjustability. Using laser powder bed fusion (LPBF), we have fabricated Inconel 625 sheet-based TPMS lattice structures with four distinct topologies: Primitive, IWP, Diamond, and Gyroid.

Effect of Adding Y Elements on Microstructure Refinement and Mechanical Properties of Mg-9Al-1Zn Alloy.

Grain refinement is of very important significance for improving the microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg alloys. This work investigated how the addition of various amounts of Y element affected the microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg-9Al-1Zn alloy. It was found that the grain size of Mg-9Al-1Zn alloy decreases as Y element content increases.

Mechanism of Functional Compound Fruit Drinks in Regulating Serum Metabolism in Constipated Mice.

A compound fruit drink (CFD) is a functional beverage containing fruits, Chinese herbal medicine, and prebiotic fructose. Previous studies have shown the effect of a CFD on alleviating constipation and its impact on gut microbiota. However, a comprehensive analysis has not been reported in regard to the serum metabolism of CFDs.
