To present a case of a young adult with bilateral chronic posterior uveitis resulting from Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada (VKH) disease treated with mycophenolate mofetil who subsequently developed vitreoretinal lymphoma in the right eye. A case and its findings were analyzed. A 34-year-old Hispanic woman presented with an 8-year history of chronic recurrent posterior uveitis in both eyes secondary to VKH disease.

Background: Accurate longitudinal risk prediction for DCI (delayed cerebral ischemia) occurrence after subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) is essential for clinicians to administer appropriate and timely diagnostics, thereby improving treatment planning and outcome. This study aimed to develop an improved longitudinal DCI prediction model and evaluate its performance in predicting DCI between day 4 and 14 after aneurysm rupture.

Methods: Two DCI classification models were trained: (1) a static model based on routinely collected demographics and SAH grading scores and (2) a dynamic model based on results from laboratory and blood gas analysis anchored at the time of DCI.

PD-1 is a key negative regulator of CD8 T cell activation and is highly expressed by exhausted T cells in cancer and chronic viral infection. Although PD-1 blockade can improve viral and tumor control, physiological PD-1 expression prevents immunopathology and improves memory formation. The mechanisms driving high PD-1 expression in exhaustion are not well understood and could be critical to disentangling its beneficial and detrimental effects.
