Electrochemical Dehydrogenative sp-Coupling Reaction of Naphthols Accessing a Polycyclic Naphthalenone Motif.

A novel polycyclic naphthalenone motif was obtained by electrochemical synthesis starting from naphthols. The process is solvent controlled, and the highly diastereoselective cyclization is due to a solvent cage. The direct, anodic dehydrogenative sp-coupling was carried out by flow electrolysis.

A Methodological Review of Stimuli Used for Classroom Speech-in-Noise Tests.

Purpose: Listening is the gateway to learning in the mainstream classroom; however, classrooms are noisy environments, making listening challenging. Therefore, speech-in-noise tests that realistically incorporate the complexity of the classroom listening environment are needed. The aim of this article was to review the speech stimuli, noise stimuli, presentation mode, and presentation levels of current classroom speech-in-noise tests to determine how representative they are of real-world classroom listening.

[Regional comparison of specialized outpatient and (partial) inpatient pain medicine care in Germany].

Background And Objective: Chronic pain requires graduated and staged levels of care. The aim of this study is to provide a regional overview regarding the accessibility of specialized outpatient and (partial) inpatient pain medicine care from the patient's perspective in Germany.

Material And Methods: For 1000 model patients randomly generated from German postal code location combinations, the travelling time by car (individual transport, IT) and available public transport connections (PTC) to the nearest specialized outpatient and inpatient pain medicine clinics and units were assessed using a route planner.

The Classroom Communication and Collaboration Appraisal: A Comprehensive Tool for Assessing Communication and Collaboration in Classroom Environments.

Purpose: The aim of this research note is to introduce a new appraisal form, the Classroom Communication and Collaboration (C3) Appraisal, designed to evaluate communication and collaboration within classroom settings.

Method: A comprehensive synthesis of the key skills from a broad range of publications on successful communication and collaboration in the classroom was conducted. The resulting appraisal comprises 39 items across six scales: crafting clear messages, appropriateness of communication exchange, active listening, pragmatics and discourse, communication breakdown, and collaboration.
