Examining Trajectories of Peer Violence Experiences and Their Association with Gender Norms and Agency Among Adolescents: Evidence from China, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Indonesia.

We examine peer violence trajectories among a purposive sample of urban poor adolescents over 3 years in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC); Shanghai, China, and Bandar Lampung, Denpasar, and Semarang, Indonesia. We examine peer violence experiences over time and seek to understand the relationship between gender norm perceptions and personal agency on peer violence experiences. A longitudinal (wave 1-3) panel was used from the three study sites outlined above ( = 6,660).

Selective Enhancer Dependencies in MYC-Intact and MYC-Rearranged Germinal Center B-cell Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma.

High expression of MYC and its target genes identify germinal center B-cell diffuse large B-cell lymphomas (GCB-DLBCL) associated with poor outcomes. We used CRISPR-interference profiling of human lymphoma cell lines to define essential enhancers in the MYC locus and non-immunoglobulin rearrangement partner loci, including a recurrent rearrangement between MYC and the BCL6 locus control region. GCB-DLBCL cell lines without MYC rearrangement are dependent on an evolutionarily-conserved enhancer we name "germinal center MYC enhancer 1" (GME-1), which is activated by the transcription factor complex of OCT2, OCA-B, and MEF2B, shows an active chromatin state in normal human and mouse germinal center B cells, and demonstrates selective acetylation and MYC promoter topological interactions in MYC-intact GCB-DLBCL biopsies.

Stigma and discrimination experienced by Black women with endometriosis in the Washington, DC, Metropolitan area: A pilot of the ENDO-served study.

Medical racism perpetuates health inequities contributing to why Black people in the United States (US) experience worse health outcomes when compared to non-Hispanic White populations. In terms of endometriosis, research on endometriosis-associated stigma has included mainly non-Hispanic White populations, with far less research on non-Hispanic Black populations. This leaves a gap in our knowledge on how stigma informs the intersection of racism and endometriosis.

Response to adjunctive antibiotic therapy along with nonsurgical periodontal therapy in the treatment of peri-implantitis and chronic periodontitis patients: An exploratory review.

Objectives: This review was conducted to assess and compare whether there is a difference in response to adjunctive systemic and locally delivered antibiotics along with nonsurgical periodontal therapy (NSPT) in the treatment of peri-implantitis (PI) and chronic periodontitis (CP).

Materials And Methods: A systematic search of literature on the predefined criteria was conducted using PubMed, Embase, and Scopus. Probing pocket depth, bleeding on probing, clinical attachment level, and microbial load reduction were selected as primary outcomes, whereas plaque index and gingival index were evaluated as secondary outcomes.

Lead fracture in stylet driven left bundle area pacing following exercise: Coincidence!

Lumen less leads (LLLs) and stylet-driven leads (SDL) are widely used for left bundle branch area pacing (LBBAP) and has become standard practice. The incidence of lead fracture is very rare with both leads. We report a case of delayed fracture in stylet driven lead producing syncope following exercise.
