Two Cases of Intramuscular Hemangiomas in the Upper Limbs: From Sonography to Pathology.

Intramuscular hemangiomas are benign soft tissue tumors that are rarely found in the upper limbs. Diagnosing these tumors may be challenging owing to their pertinent nonspecific symptoms-often leading to misdiagnoses like tendinitis or muscle strain. In this article, two cases of intramuscular hemangiomas are presented-one in flexor pollicis brevis muscle and the other one in flexor digitorum superficialis muscle.

Mature teratoma of the uterine corpus: A case report.

We report a case of a 37-year old female with a mature teratoma of the uterine corpus presented by metrorrhagia. Grossly, the tumor was polypoid without apparent invasion into the myometrium. Microscopically, the tumor consisted of disorganized mature neural tissue intermingled with nodular foci of cartilaginous tissue, groups of seromucionous glands and ciliated columnar respiratory epithelium.

[The cost of surgical and endovascular treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysm - a retrospective comparative study].

Introduction: A comparison of the costs of a surgery and an endovascular treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) for the General Health Insurance Company (VšZP) in 2009-2010.

Material And Methods: Between 2009 and 2010, VšZP paid for treatment of 211 patients with AAA with an average age of 69 years (range: 41-91 years). Out of these, 174 patients underwent surgical treatment and 37 patients were treated by endovascular means.
