Purpose: Patient hesitancy to use MC due to the fear of negative social implications leads to intentional non-adherence and compromises therapeutic outcomes. Hence, we aimed to determine the rate of patient adherence to MC and explore factors influencing patient MC use.

Background: Medical schools have a responsibility to support their students in developing an understanding of the complex concepts of a 'VUCA' (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) world. To achieve this, service learning approaches have been increasingly successfully employed for students to learn through participating in activities addressing local community priorities. Objectives: To identify patient beliefs associated with medication hesitancy by using the theory of planned behavior (TPB) namely, attitudes, subjective norms, behavioral intention, and perceived behavioral control associated with medication hesitancy or intentional noncompliance by avoidance.

Methods: The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis guideline was followed to conduct a systematic literature search involving the CINAHL, Embase, MEDLINE, and PsycINFO databases from inception until March 2022.

Lung tissues from 547 rodents and 26 insectivores captured between 1981 and 1984 in central Bosnia (Fojnica) and central Serbia (Cacak), 2 regions known to be endemic for hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS), were examined for hantaviral antigen by the indirect immunofluorescent antibody technique.
