Mutations in CEP290 (also known as NPHP6), a large multidomain coiled coil protein, are associated with multiple cilia-associated syndromes. Over 130 CEP290 mutations have been linked to a wide spectrum of human ciliopathies, raising the question of how mutations in a single gene cause different disease syndromes. In zebrafish, the expressivity of cep290 deficiencies were linked to the type of genetic ablation: acute cep290 morpholino knockdown caused severe cilia-related phenotypes, whereas deficiencies in a CRISPR/Cas9 genetic mutant were restricted to photoreceptor defects.

Within this context, we characterize αβT cells engineered to express a defined γδT cell engineered to express a defined γδT receptor (TEG) currently used in a first-in-human clinical study (NTR6541). Utilizing targeted locus amplification in combination with next generation sequencing for the vector producer clone and TEG001 products, we report on five single-nucleotide variants and nine intact vector copies integrated in the producer clone.

Ciliated olfactory sensory neurons (OSNs) organize olfactory receptors and ion channels on cilia and generate a calcium influx as a primary signal in odourant detection. In the zebrafish olfactory placode, ciliated OSNs and microvillus OSNs constitute the major OSN cell types with distinct odourant sensitivity.

It is amenable to biological analysis because it precludes the expression of two epidermis-specific proteins, rather than being a single-nucleotide polymorphism of uncertain significance. The biology of the 18-member LCE family of highly homologous proteins has remained largely unexplored so far.

Retinal dystrophy is a common phenotypic characteristic of ciliopathies since photoreceptor outer segments are specialized primary cilia. These ciliary structures heavily rely on intracellular minus-end directed transport of cargo, mediated at least in part by the cytoplasmic dynein 1 motor complex, for their formation, maintenance and function.
