Poor sleep quality is well recognised in both post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and pain conditions. Comorbid chronic pain is prevalent in populations with PTSD and is believed to maintain symptoms of PTSD and increase the complexity of the condition. Ongoing diminished sleep quality may serve to maintain pain and PTSD symptoms, and thus affect the efficacy of first-line PTSD treatment.

Modelling Data (MODA) reporting guidelines have been proposed for common terminology and for recording metadata for physics-based materials modelling and simulations in a CEN Workshop Agreement (CWA 17284:2018). Their purpose is similar to that of the Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship (QSAR) model report form (QMRF) that aims to increase industry and regulatory confidence in QSAR models, but for a wider range of model types. Recently, the WorldFAIR project's nanomaterials case study suggested that both QMRF and MODA templates are an important means to enhance compliance of nanoinformatics models, and their underpinning datasets, with the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).

Fishing lines, nets, and ropes represent a significant portion of plastic pollution in marine environments, and can contain hazardous additives. The development of less laborious and faster methods aiming at identifying plastic-related additives is therefore needed, in order to facilitate effective recycling. This work aims to develop an industrial inline method to identify lead-based pigments in fishnets by an industrial hyperspectral imaging (HSI) system working in visible-near-infrared spectral range (Vis-NIR, 450 to 1050 nm) and machine learning.
