Excess weight and associated factors among Xavante Indigenous adults, Central Brazil.

Considered an important public health problem among Indigenous peoples in Brazil, obesity is a risk factor for Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs) and conditions. The present study aimed to describe the occurrence of excess weight, obesity, and associated factors in Xavante Indigenous adults, through a nutritional survey carried out in the population ≥ 15 years of age living in the Pimentel Barbosa and Wedezé Indigenous Lands, Mato Grosso, Central Brazil, during the period of June to August 2011. Eight of the 10 villages in the territory were investigated.

Tropical grass digestibility assessed by the mobile bag and in vitro methods in horses.

This study aimed to compare the digestibility of tropical grasses by horses by the in vivo method using mobile nylon bags with the in vitro digestibility method using horse feces as a source of inoculum. Anxiety, Depression, and Other Factors Associated With Voice Handicaps in Active Older People During the COVID-19 Pandemic.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, older people had to remain isolated, which could cause not only anxiety and depression but also voice and communication problems and lifestyle, demographic, and socioeconomic changes. This study aimed to analyze the influence of anxiety and depression and other associated factors on the voice handicap of active older adults during the COVID-19 pandemic. This cross-sectional and analytical research approached older people enrolled at a reference health care unit for this age group in Recife.
