Background: Lack of a liver surgeon (LS) may lead to failure to cure in patients with possibly resectable colorectal liver metastases (CRLM). This study aims to quantify the failure-to-cure rate due to noninclusion of an LS.
Patients And Methods: All patients who underwent chemotherapy with palliative intent for CRLM at a community oncology network between 2010 and 2018 were identified from a prospectively maintained cancer registry.
Research has examined the function of stress management techniques, including coping, physical activity, and mindfulness on college students' adjustment. The present study examined the differential contributions of three stress management techniques to students' maladaptation (perceived stress, depression, anxiety, and loneliness) and adaptation (self-esteem). View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground: The goal of this study was to test for associations between adenosine triphosphate (ATP) content and microbial concentrations on desk surfaces in school classrooms.
Methods: ATP bioluminescence and quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) techniques were employed to measure total bacterial, fungal, and human cell concentrations on 66 high-traffic desks spread across 9 schools: 3 in Connecticut (CT) and 6 in Oklahoma (OK). In CT, 6 samples were taken from each desk, 1 precleaning and 5 postcleaning (after 30 minutes, 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, and 21 days).
Background And Purpose: MR perfusion imaging can be used to help predict glial tumor grade and disease progression. Our purpose was to evaluate whether perfusion imaging has a diagnostic or therapeutic impact on clinical management planning in patients with glioma.
Materials And Methods: Standard MR imaging protocols were interpreted by a group of 3 NRs in consensus, with each case being interpreted twice: first, including routine sequences; and second, with the addition of perfusion imaging.
