Pleomorphic adenoma (PA) is the most common salivary gland tumor. PAs are characterized by chromosomal rearrangements of 8q12 and 12q14-15, leading to gene fusions involving the PLAG1 and HMGA2 oncogenes. Here, we performed the first comprehensive study of the transcriptomic and gene fusion landscape of 38 cytogenetically characterized PAs.

Our study explores governing of European eel in Sweden. The paper aims to analyze and tentatively explain the degree of policy coherence between different political levels and discuss implications for management. The study focuses on the Advocacy Coalition Framework and a qualitative methodology.

Type 2 diabetes is associated with cardiovascular disease, possibly due to impaired vascular fibrous repair. Yet, the mechanisms are elusive. Here, we investigate alterations in the fibrous repair processes in type 2 diabetes atherosclerotic plaque extracellular matrix by combining multi-omics from the human Carotid Plaque Imaging Project cohort and functional studies.

Analysis of queries to a Swedish drug information centre identifies scientific knowledge gaps.

Drug Information Centres (DICs) are providing clinicians with evidence-based support for rational drug treatment. However, knowledge gaps in the literature may hinder DICs from offering optimal guidance. This study examined the extent and nature of these knowledge gaps and their impact on clinical pharmacological advice, using real-world query data from a Swedish regional DIC.
