Integration of psychological interventions in multi-sectoral humanitarian programmes: a systematic review.

Background: Every year, millions of people are affected by humanitarian crises. With a growing population of people affected, the need for coordination and integration of services aiming to improve the effectiveness of mental health and psychosocial support also grows. In this study, we examine how psychological interventions in humanitarian settings globally have been implemented through integration into programming outside of formal healthcare delivery through multisectoral integration.

Evaluation of the cost and care outcomes by group related to the diagnosis of bariatric surgery.

Background: To conduct a comprehensive assessment of real patient data undergoing the procedure within a healthcare provider, integrating both costs and care stages related to bariatric surgery, emphasizing the relevance of analysis by Diagnosis-related group (DRG).

Methods: Prospective study of patients coded by DRG within a network of providers accredited to a Brazilian healthcare provider. All patients coded with metabolic and bariatric surgery (MBS) between 01/2019 and 06/2023 and undergoing gastrectomy procedure were included for analysis.

Scanning is associated with better performance in professional ice hockey.

Although active exploration of environmental information is essential for specifying one's action opportunities in team sports, knowledge about the relationship between visual exploratory behaviour and successful actions in ice hockey is scarce. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether scanning prior to pass reception was associated with a higher probability of a successful outcome of the following action among professional ice hockey players. A total of 43 male and 45 female ice hockey players participated in the study.

Species-wide inventory of organellar variation reveals ample phenotypic variation for photosynthetic performance.

Efforts to improve photosynthetic performance are increasingly employing natural genetic variation. However, genetic variation in the organellar genomes (plasmotypes) is often disregarded due to the difficulty of studying the plasmotypes and the lack of evidence that this is a worthwhile investment. Here, we systematically phenotyped plasmotype diversity using as a model species.

Leaving Slings and Other Transfer Devices Under Patients: A Clinical Decision Support Quality Improvement Project.

Purpose: The purpose of this quality improvement project was to develop guidance for safe patient handling and mobility efforts to prevent pressure injuries (PIs) within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) when slings and other transfer devices are left under patients.

Participants And Setting: Health care staff (n = 112) in patient safety and nursing at 77 unique VHA facilities responded to surveys between November and December 2019. Interviews (n = 24) were conducted using purposive sampling with VHA staff at facilities with highest and lowest PI rates (n = 9) between January and March 2021.
