Background: Adequate dementia care knowledge of graduate nurses is essential for the wellbeing of both people living with dementia as well as the graduate nurses caring for them. Little is known about the dementia care knowledge, experience or confidence of graduate nurses caring for people living with dementia. This paper aims to review the available literature on graduate nurses caring for people living with dementia.

Pain and inflammation are common symptoms of a majority of the diseases. Chronic pain and inflammation, as well as related dreadful disorders, remain difficult to control due to a lack of safe and effective medications. In this work, biocompatible platinum nanoparticles with significant analgesic and anti-inflammatory action were synthesized through a wet chemical method using polyethylene glycol-400 as a capping agent and sodium borohydride as a reducing agent.

Delayed Onset Iliopsoas Tendonitis With Intramuscular Hematoma Following Total Hip Arthroplasty.

Iliopsoas tendonitis following total hip arthroplasty (THA) can be challenging to diagnose due to the many causes of postoperative groin pain. This case involves a 66-year-old female with right-sided hip and groin pain and a palpable mass, 3 years post-THA. Initial recovery was unremarkable until the sudden onset of symptoms after exercise.

Assessing modified HEART scores with high-sensitivity troponin for low-risk chest pain in the emergency department.

The accuracy of using HEART (history, electrocardiogram, age, risk factors, and troponin) scores with high-sensitivity cardiac troponin (hs-cTn) to risk stratify emergency department (ED) chest pain patients remains uncertain. We aim to compare the performance accuracy of determining major adverse cardiac event (MACE) among three modified HEART (mHEART) scores with the use of hs-cTn to risk stratify ED chest pain patients. This retrospective single-center observational study included ED patients with suspected acute coronary syndrome who had HEAR scores calculated and at least one hs-cTnI result.

A rare case of Guillain-Barre syndrome after snakebite in young male and review of literature.

Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS) is an autoimmune disorder affecting the peripheral nervous system, often triggered by infections. This important medical emergency can also have noninfectious causes, such as trauma, surgery, medication (including vaccinations), and other systemic disorders. Here, we present a rare case of GBS following a snakebite.
