Norovirus outbreaks in a nursery school in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Norovirus (NoV) is the leading cause of outbreaks of acute gastroenteritis worldwide. These are non-enveloped viruses that are classified into 10 genogroups, of which genogroup I (GI), II (GII), IV (GIV), VIII (GVIII), and IX (GIX) are the ones that infect humans. Two outbreaks (A and B) of acute gastroenteritis that occurred in a nursery school are described.

The virus is the smallest known replicative unit, usually in nanometer-range sizes. The most simple and sensitive detection assay involves molecular amplification of nucleic acids. This work shows a novel, straightforward detection based on the interaction of viral particles with fluorescent nanoconstructs without using enzymatic amplification, washing or separation steps.

Students' Knowledge about HIV and their attitudes towards people living with HIV/AIDS in the Czech Republic: analysis of the school environment and recommendations for prevention.

Objectives: The main objective of the questionnaire survey conducted by the National Institute of Public Health in Prague was to determine the level of knowledge and attitudes and to identify changes since the previous survey in 2015. A secondary objective was to gather more detailed information on how HIV/AIDS topics are taught in schools, as reported by school prevention coordinators.

Methods: The questionnaire was distributed to 48 randomly selected educational institutions and the humanitarian organization MRIYA UA z.

Stigmatization and discrimination of people living with HIV in the Czech Republic: a pilot study.

Objectives: HIV positivity diagnosis is often accompanied by stigmatization and discrimination, even in developed societies. The aim of the study was to obtain current information on the quality of life of people living with HIV in the Czech Republic, to assess the level and perception of stigmatization and discrimination, and to identify existing problems of people living with HIV concerning health services, family and the public.

Methods: Data for the pilot study were collected by convenience sampling between 2021 and 2022.
