Introduction: Although surgical navigation is commonly used in rhinologic surgery, data on real world performance are sparse because of difficulties in collecting measurements for target registration error (TRE). Despite publications showing submillimeter TRE, surgeons do report TRE of >3 mm. We describe a novel method for assessing TRE during surgery and report findings with this technique.

Bovine-derived collagen matrix (BDCM) is a safe augmentation material in patients with empty nose syndrome. BDCM augmentation results in clinically and statistically significant improvement in nasal symptoms. Improvements in nasal symptoms with BDCM augmentation may be durable and can be seen up to 2 years postoperative.

Objectives: Interstitial lung disease (ILD) is associated with significant mortality in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients with key cellular players remaining largely unknown. This study aimed to characterize inflammatory and myeloid derived suppressor cell (MDSC) subpopulations in RA-ILD as compared to RA, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) without autoimmunity, and controls.

Methods: Peripheral blood was collected from patients with RA, RA-ILD, IPF, and controls (N = 60, 15/cohort).
