Background: In Canada, the health care system has been estimated to generate 33 million metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions annually. Health care systems, specifically operating rooms (ORs), are significant contributors to greenhouse gas emissions, using 3 to 6 times more energy than the hospital's average unit.

Objective: This quality improvement study aimed to investigate the knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions of staff members and patients on sustainability in the OR, as well as identify opportunities for initiatives and barriers to implementation.

Introduction: Patient safety is increasingly becoming a major priority for healthcare institutions, and various models of these rounds exist. The Ottawa M&M Model (OM3) is a structured and standardized approach to patient safety and quality improvement rounds that has been implemented at other institutions across Canada with good success.

Methods: This quality improvement project invited divisions within the Children's Hospital in London, Ontario to participate in the implementation of the OM3 for M&M rounds.

Objective: Apply the Sustainability in Quality Improvement framework to virtual care for Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (OHNS) patients to understand the economic, environmental, and social impacts.

Methods: This project consisted of retrospective analysis of anonymized data from all appointments that took place in three academic ambulatory OHNS clinics (pediatrics, head and neck, and otology/neurotology) from fiscal years of 2021 to 2023. Data were obtained from our institution's Virtual Care Dashboard.
