Exposure to glyphosate produces various toxic effects, due to this, different methods have been evaluated for its elimination. The objective of this work was to formulate chitosan-based adsorbents and evaluate their efficiency in the removal of glyphosate . Four films were made by varying the weight ratio of silica/chitosan particles, and four sponges were made by varying the chitosan/chitosan ratio in a reticulated manner.

Thus, this study assessed the biotechnology capacity-biomass production, biochemical composition, and nutrient uptake-from tequila vinasses (TVs) as the nutrient source of three indigenous microalgae-Chlorella sp., Scenedesmus sp.

Various characterization techniques were employed to investigate the structural properties. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) data and Rietveld refinement confirmed the presence of TMO phases and that the ZnO structure was not affected by the doping with TMO which was corroborated using transmission Electron microscopy (TEM).

We study the nucleation and growth mechanism of those structures and the influence of physical-chemical parameters, such as the solvent and the pH of the solution, on the morphology, as well as the structural and optical properties. A clear correlation between the growth rate along the c-axis and surface defects was established.

Today, CO from biogas is an excellent carbon source to induce high microalgal biomass production; however, each microalga strain can have different optimal CO concentrations for maximizing their bio-refinery capacity as well as different ability to endure stressful conditions of industrial effluents. This study assessed the bio-refinery capacity of Chlorella sp.
