Decisions around psychiatric interventions for children and young people involve balancing respect for the child's wishes, the need to provide benefit and relevant risk factors. We recommend establishing a framework for assessment of interventions for children with mental disabilities, using a human-rights-based approach that can be applied across jurisdictions, alongside national laws.

Patients with features of mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) frequently present to the emergency department (ED) and often meet recognised criteria for CT head imaging. Observational studies suggest that use of a tandem ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase-L1 (UCH-L1) and glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) brain biomarker test may significantly reduce need for CT scanning in this population, though data on patient flow are lacking. In a prospective evaluation in a UK population with mTBI a laboratory UCH-L1/GFAP test identified 21 of 89 (24%) patients as low-risk for CT-evident TBI with a sensitivity of 100% (95% CI 76-100%) and NPV of 100% (95% CI 85-100%).

In order to increase the energy density and improve the cyclability of lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries, a combined strategy is devised and evaluated for high-performance Li-S batteries. It consists of the following steps to reduce the loss of active sulfur and sulfides migrating in the liquid electrolyte to the anode and add electrocatalyst groups in the cathode or catholyte: (i) A hollow porous nanoparticle coating cathode host with a pseudocapacitive PEDOT:PSS binder that also contributes to trapping polysulfides. (ii) A thin interlayer of B-N-graphene (BNG) nanoplatelets on the above cathode trapping polysulfides while participating in the electron transfer and acting as an electrocatalyst, thus ensuring that the trapped sulfides remain active in the cathode.

Background: Recognizing barriers to care is crucial for radiologists to ensure equitable access and quality care for all patients. Health equity trainings have shown promising results in helping providers understand unique patient needs.

Purpose: To perform community-based focus groups to gather needs assessment data as the foundation for a health equity curriculum for radiology professionals.
