Semi-extended suprapatellar intramedullary nail fixation of tibial fractures has recently been gaining popularity. Several recent studies and meta-analyses compare the outcomes of the suprapatellar approach with the traditional infrapatellar approach. The current magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques are unable to provide a direct map of tissue hypoxia.
Purpose: To investigate whether GdDO3NI, a nitroimidazole-based T MRI contrast agent allows imaging hypoxia in the injured brain after experimental TBI.
Breast MRI is the most sensitive modality for the detection of breast cancer. However, false-negative cases may occur, in which the cancer is not visualized at MRI and is instead diagnosed with another imaging modality. The authors describe the causes of false-negative breast MRI results, which can be categorized broadly as secondary to perceptual errors or cognitive errors, or nonvisualization secondary to nonenhancement of the tumor.
