Marijuana poisoning in canines is still considered a taboo topic. Poisoning in pets is becoming increasingly common, in many cases resulting in severe clinical signs, such as ataxia, urinary incontinence, mydriasis, depression, and hyperesthesia. Colombia does not have any reliable test for the diagnosis of exposure to cannabis in animals, and it is not an obligation to report this kind of poisoning to the authorities.

Environmental measurements of Radon and its progeny were carried out in a gold mining area in the department of Antioquia, Colombia. Radon concentration measurements were carried out during 2 y in seven different measurement points in three types of geological zones, by using EPERM electret chambers and DOSEman Pro detectors at each point. Radon concentration values between 858 ± 59 Bq m-3 and 2469 ± 158 Bq m-3 and an equilibrium factor between 0.

This case report describes a rare occurrence of isolated vasculitis of the hepatic artery in a female patient. The patient presented with abdominal pain, fever, and weight loss, and a diagnosis was made through a combination of imaging studies and serological evaluation of systemic vasculitis. The management of this case was challenging because of the involvement of the hepatic artery without any other clinical manifestations of the systemic disease, apart from the presence of rheumatoid factor and anti-citrullinated cyclic peptide.

Post-colonoscopy colorectal cancer (PCCRC) is a tumor that appears after a normal colonoscopy before the established time for the endoscopic follow up. Its origin reflects the quality of the colonoscopy and the different tumoral biologics between the CRC and the CRCPC. Our aim is to describe the characteristics of the PCCRC in our region, to identify risk factors, to discriminate the potential causes according to the World Endoscopý Organization (WEO) and to determine its impact in the patient's survival.

Research Question: Are the alterations observed in the endometriotic cells, such as progesterone resistance, already present in the eutopic endometrium or acquired in the ectopic location?

Design: The response to decidualization with progesterone and cyclic AMP for up to 28 days was compared in different endometrial stromal cell (EnSC) lines established from samples of endometriomas (eEnSC), eutopic endometrium from women with endometriosis (eBEnSC), endometrial tissue from healthy women (BEnSC) and menstrual blood from healthy donors (mEnSC).

Results: Usual features of decidualized cells, such as changes in cell morphology and expression of prolactin, were similarly observed in the three types of eutopic EnSC studied, but not in the ectopic cells upon decidualization. Among the phenotypic markers analysed, CD105 was down-regulated under decidualization in all cell types (mEnSC, P = 0.
