Dyspareunia is rarely assessed in rodent models of endometriosis and interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome: a systematic review.

Dyspareunia, or pain during sex, is a common and often-debilitating symptom in individuals with endometriosis and/or interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome (IC/BPS). Despite its significant impact on quality of life, it is frequently overlooked in research. This review evaluates how dyspareunia has been addressed in preclinical investigations of these conditions.

Clinical Adjudication of Outpatient Complications Reported in the U.S. News and World Report's Urology Rankings.

Objective: To assess whether the US News and World Report (USNWR) Urology specialty ranking methodology accurately captures and classifies complications following elective outpatient urology procedures.

Methods: We conducted electronic health record chart review of n = 80 elective, outpatient urology procedures with complications from 2019-2023 across 4 hospitals in our integrated US health system. We used the Solventum AM-PPC software and USNWR methodology to determine eligibility and measure complications.

Memory for rewards guides retrieval.

Rewards paid out for successful retrieval motivate the formation of long-term memory. However, it has been argued that the Motivated Learning Task does not measure reward effects on memory strength but decision-making during retrieval. We report three large-scale online experiments in healthy participants (N = 200, N = 205, N = 187) that inform this debate.

Structural response of G protein binding to the cyclodepsipeptide inhibitor FR900359 probed by NMR spectroscopy.

The cyclodepsipeptide FR900359 (FR) and its analogs are able to selectively inhibit the class of G proteins by blocking GDP/GTP exchange. The inhibitor binding site of G has been characterized by X-ray crystallography, and various binding and functional studies have determined binding kinetics and mode of inhibition. Here we investigate isotope-labeled FR bound to the membrane-anchored G protein heterotrimer by solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (ssNMR) and in solution by liquid-state NMR.
