Understanding how inflammatory cytokines influence profibrogenic wound healing responses in fibroblasts is important for understanding the pathogenesis of fibrosis. TNF-α and IL-13 are key cytokines in Th1 and Th2 immune responses, respectively, while TGF-β1 is the principal pro-fibrotic mediator. We show that 12-day fibroblast culture with TNF-α or IL-13 induces fibrogenesis, marked by progressively increasing type III and VI collagen formation, and that TGF-β1 co-stimulation amplifies these effects.

Objectives: Staging of the cN0 neck with sentinel node biopsy (SNB) in early-stage oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is validated in patients with a previously untreated neck. We aimed to investigate the feasibility and diagnostic accuracy of SNB and unexpected drainage patterns in patients with cT1-T2N0 OSCC and a history of previous head and neck cancer comprising treatment of the neck, that is, surgery, radiotherapy, or both.
Methods: Fifty patients with a previously treated neck diagnosed with a new primary or recurrent cN0 OSCC between 2014 and 2021 were included and retrospectively analyzed.
Purpose: Myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) procedures from single photon emission computed tomography and positron emission tomography imaging have been registered in the Western Denmark Heart Registry (WDHR) since 2017 as a sub-registry (WDHR-MPI). The aim was to review the content, quality, and research potential of the WDHR-MPI and assess the completeness and validity of its key variables.
Patients And Methods: Using the Danish National Patient Registry (DNPR) as a reference, we calculated the completeness of procedure registration as the proportion of procedures registered in the WDHR-MPI from 2017 to 2021.
Background: This study aimed to investigate postoperative developments of sagittal knee gait in a population of knee arthroplasty patients randomized to either unicompartmental or total knee arthroplasty. We hypothesized that knee arthroplasty patients develop greater walking speeds, range of motion, sagittal knee angle velocities, and sagittal knee angle accelerations.
Methods: Thirty-two patients were recruited from a randomized trial comparing the two implant types.
