Multicomponent body composition of university club sport athletes.

Background: The body composition of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) athletes is well documented but no such data exist for university club sports athletes. Additionally, the majority of norms for NCAA athletes were created from individual methods requiring assumptions.

Objective: This study used a four-component (4C) model to measure the body composition of university club sports athletes.

A randomized phase 2 study of efmarodocokin alfa, an IL-22 agonist, versus vedolizumab in patients with ulcerative colitis.

Background And Aims: Efmarodocokin alfa is an interleukin (IL)-22 agonist, with favorable pharmacokinetic (PK) properties and an acceptable safety profile. This study further explored the therapeutic potential of efmarodocokin alfa compared to vedolizumab in patients with ulcerative colitis (UC).

Methods: This randomized phase 2 trial evaluated the efficacy, safety, PK, and pharmacodynamics of 3 doses of efmarodocokin alfa administered intravenously every 4 weeks (30 μg/kg [n=43], 60 μg/kg [n=44], and 90 μg/kg [n=43]) compared with placebo (n=22) and with vedolizumab (n=43) in the treatment of moderate to severe UC.

Crossover from Conventional to Unconventional Superconductivity in 2M-WS.

Leveraging the reciprocal-space proximity effect between superconducting bulk and topological surface states (TSSs) offers a promising way to topological superconductivity. However, elucidating the mutual influence of bulk and TSSs on topological superconductivity remains a challenge. Here, we report pioneering transport evidence of a thickness-dependent transition from conventional to unconventional superconductivity in 2M-phase WS (2M-WS).

Tech + touch: A pilot study to facilitate access to health information technology for Spanish-speaking parents.

Objectives: As Spanish-speaking parents face many barriers to care, we sought to: (1) understand HIT experiences and preferences; (2) pilot test a tablet/navigator intervention; (3) understand HIT uses and barriers.

Methods: Prospective, uncontrolled, non-randomized, pilot intervention examining facilitated access to a patient portal for Spanish-speaking parents. Parents were recruited from pediatric specialty clinics in an academic center.

However, some patients do not have a coinciding monoclonal gammopathy and experience an atypical presentation of the disease.
