Background: Among individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD), the prevalence of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is higher than in the general population. Prolonged exposure (PE) therapy is highly efficacious for improving PTSD symptoms. Purpose: The specific aims of this paper are to (1) develop and operationalize an electronic health record (EHR) data quality framework, (2) apply the dimensions of the framework to the phenotype and treatment pathways of ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) using Research Program data, and (3) propose and apply a checklist to evaluate the application of the framework.

Methods: We developed a framework of five data quality dimensions (DQD; completeness, concordance, conformance, plausibility, and temporality). Participants signed a consent and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act authorization to share EHR data and responded to demographic questions in the Basics questionnaire.

Under decompression, disordered solids undergo an unjamming transition where they become under-coordinated and lose their structural rigidity. The mechanical and vibrational properties of these materials have been an object of theoretical, numerical, and experimental research for decades. In the study of low-coordination solids, understanding the behavior and physical interpretation of observables that diverge near the transition is of particular importance.

Background: People with serious mental illness (SMI; bipolar [BD] or schizophrenia spectrum disorders [SSD]) who smoke have 30-60% lower odds of quitting and are more prone to experience neuropsychiatric adverse events (NPSAEs) when quitting than smokers without SMI. We pilot-tested the feasibility of combining two different dosing strategies of varenicline preloading with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in persons with SMI in an attempt to bolster quit rates without increasing NPSAEs.

Introduction: Simulation in the preclinical medical education setting is a beneficial tool for students to develop clinical skills, supplement preexisting knowledge, and prepare for clinical rotations and beyond. We detail the complete simulation scenario, including a participant postresponse questionnaire, of a 28-year-old male who developed bacterial meningitis after experiencing an upper respiratory infection in the days prior.

Methods: Simulation fellows and faculty at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine created a simulation scenario pertaining to bacterial meningitis.
