Sn(ii)-based perovskite oxides, being the subject of longstanding theoretical interest for the past two decades, have been synthesized for the first time in the form of nano eggshell particle morphologies. All past reported synthetic attempts have been unsuccessful owing to their metastable nature, , by their thermodynamic instability towards decomposition to their constituent oxides. A new approach was discovered that finally provides an effective solution to surmounting this intractable synthetic barrier and which can be the key to unlocking the door to many other predicted metastable oxides.

Background: Approximately 20% to 50% of women diagnosed with hormone receptor-positive breast cancer discontinue endocrine therapy early; most reports come from automated pharmacy data or small self-report evaluations. We conducted a larger self-report evaluation of endocrine therapy discontinuation associated with patient characteristics and therapy-related adverse effects.

Methods: We surveyed 538 women from a single health plan who were diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer from 2002 to 2008 and received endocrine therapy.

Purpose: To evaluate tamoxifen and aromatase inhibitor (AI) initiation over time and by patient characteristics among women diagnosed with breast cancer in a community setting.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort study of 1,501 women age ≥ 18 years diagnosed with stages I to II invasive, hormone receptor-positive breast cancer from 2001 to 2008 in an integrated delivery system. Using automated pharmacy dispensings, we determined endocrine therapy receipt within 12 months of diagnosis.

Purpose/background: Hip abduction strengthening exercises may be critical in the prevention and rehabilitation of both overuse and traumatic injuries where knee frontal plane alignment is considered to be important. The purpose of the current investigation was to examine the muscular activation of the gluteus maximus and gluteus medius during the double-leg squat (DLS), single-leg squat (SLS), or front step-up (FSU), and the same exercises when an added load was used to pull the knee medially.

Methods: Eighteen healthy females (ages 18-26) performed six exercises: DLS, DLS with load, FSU, FSU with load, SLS, and SLS with load.

Objective: Animal studies describe cardiovascular collapse (CVC; hypotension or reoccurrence of cardiac arrest) after return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) from cardiopulmonary arrest. Few studies describe CVC in humans. This study aimed to determine the occurrence of CVC in human out-of-hospital cardiopulmonary arrest (OHCA).
