Purpose: To develop a machine learning algorithm to improve hepatic resection selection for patients with metastatic colorectal cancer (CRC) by predicting post-portal vein embolization (PVE) outcomes.
Materials And Methods: This multicenter retrospective study (2000-2020) included 200 consecutive patients with CRC liver metastases planned for PVE before surgery. Data on radiomic features and laboratory values were collected.

The management of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is undergoing transformational changes due to the emergence of various novel immunotherapies and their combination with image-guided locoregional therapies. In this setting, immunotherapy is expected to become one of the standards of care in both neoadjuvant and adjuvant settings across all disease stages of HCC. Currently, more than 50 ongoing prospective clinical trials are investigating various end points for the combination of immunotherapy with both percutaneous and catheter-directed therapies.

- A total of 85 patients with liver metastases from neuroendocrine tumors, colorectal cancer, and lung cancer were analyzed between 2001 and 2015, using response rates to assess treatment outcomes.
- The findings suggested that a minimum of four cTACE sessions significantly improved patient survival rates, indicating that doctors should continue with cTACE before transitioning to alternative therapies for patients who do not initially respond.
